We're curious...do you pray?  If so, how?  If your style is listed above, great. If not, then let us know by responding below.  Thanks!

I feel connected to God when I pray. Sometimes in praying about a particular person or a particular issue the prayer will change and ideas to pray about will come and sometimes deepen the prayer or take it in an unplanned direction. It seems as though being willing to pray opens a door. At other times, when I am grieving or at a loss how to pray, it seems as though sweet, warm, comforting words are surrounding me and praying for me. I would say being willing and open to being led are keys to satisfying prayer.

When I was younger, I only prayed before meals, before going to bed, and at church. It was almost more ceremonial in nature. Now that I'm older, I stop and give thanks or ask for guidance any time of day. My prayers are almost more like "conversations" with God. We talk about anything and everything and I love it. I love that we have a God who likes to be in every detail of our lives.

I pray throughout my day---and night.  Every morning, my husband and I spend 15 minutes reading Sripture and praying together.  We have done this since our first day as a married couple.  Then we pray at meals.  But I pray in the car--when I have the silence.  I pray at night when I am woken up and can't seem to get back to sleep, whcih seems to be a prompting of the Holy Spirit to be in the silent space of God's presence and listen.

My favorite way to "pray" is in my art--to allow that inner creative self to emerge onto paper or canvas.  And letting my priases go up in that way, as well as  concerns (which I make quilt like patterns on paper and put people's names in.

Prayer for me is a lifestyle--a constant conversation throughout hte day with my friend, God.

Ann, that sounds wonderful. I also love my silent "God Space" when I can just listen. I also love to paint (watercolors and oils). When I'm outside painting Plein Air that's when I feel closest to Him.
